Gods Faithfulness

Dave and I were given a prophetic word just couple of days before he went into hospital
for the removal of gallstones. The word was “The Lord has said this is
not your time to die!” Little did we know when we were given this word
that we would have to hold on to it as doctors fought to save Dave’s life.
Dave went into hospital during the COVID 19 lockdown in
mid-June, his temperature was high and the diagnosis was gallstones
trapped in a blood vessel between the gallbladder and the kidney. The
gallstones were removed by keyhole surgery, it was an extremely
complicated surgery and lasted 2 ½ hours. Following surgery he was in
hospital for 10 days during which time he developed sepsis and they
struggled to get his temperature and vital signs back to normal. When
he was discharged the doctor informed him that he had a hot
gallbladder and would be called back for surgery in 4-6 weeks, no
later, for further keyhole surgery.
Four weeks passed and he was back in hospital, he was in as a day case
so should have been home in the evening. Unfortunately when the
gallbladder was removed it disintegrated because it was in such a poor
condition, this caused pockets of infection in his abdomen and chest
which led to the sepsis returning. The following five days there was
no improvement in his condition, he was hallucinating and very
confused, he was taken back into surgery and had four stomach drains
put in to remove the fluid build up caused by infection.
During this period I was unable to visit because of COVID19, knowing
he was confused was a great concern and I approached the consultant
and asked to see Dave, permission was granted. I was placed in a
room in the hospital with my Dave and as we waited to see the
consultant I placed my hands on his head and I prayed in the name of
Jesus, that the confusion would go and that the magnetic frequencies
in his body would come into alignment with the word of God. I knew
that the whole of my Encounter church family would be praying and that
the Lord was with me. Following prayer Dave did not have any
further hallucinations and he was well enough to come home 3 days
later. Jesus is the greatest Healer!
Through this whole episode I knew the Lord was with me but for me it
was a veil of tears and I needed His comfort. On the day that Dave was back in the operating room having drains fitted I was
unable to get through to the hospital on the phone. I walked and
eventually ended up sitting on a log in an open field, as I sat crying
and listening to my worship music I felt a presence behind me. I
turned my head to see a horse, the horse stood quietly looking at me
and I stroked him, his eyes were gentle and loving. I am not really
fond of horses but this was a special time, the horse was not an angel
but he was sent and he was sent to bring me comfort, I believe it was
the Lord’s way of saying I know your pain. I love you, you’re not
alone.
Dave is home and has been for over a month and I thank God for
being with us through this difficult time and bringing us through into
a safe place, Jesus is our safe place.
